Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Affiliation (PPMA), in a letter to Minister for Nationwide Well being Providers, Regulation and Coordination Division Dr Faisal Sultan on August 5 mentioned that 300 consignments are caught up at port which can be affected on account of heavy rains, moisture and excessive temperature. The PPMA mentioned that the commerce ministry on July 16 had already allowed import of therapeutic merchandise from India.
The affiliation urged the Ministry of Nationwide Well being Providers to advise Drap to situation essential NOCs.
PPMA former chairman Dr Kaiser Waheed mentioned that 300 consignments had been caught up for greater than 20 days. Non-clearance of the elements might create severe issues for firms who’ve restricted shares moreover interrupting common manufacturing of medicines, he added.
