Mohammad Ilyas and Asad Shafiq starred as Bagh Stallions defeated Kotli Lions by 5 wickets within the second match of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) on Saturday.
Chasing a good 170-run goal, Stallions went over the profitable line within the remaining over of the sport.
Asad Shafiq performed an excellent hand of unbeaten 43 runs off 27 deliveries. He was nicely supported by Iftikhar Ahmed and Aamir Yamin, who scored 29 and 27, respectively.
For Lions, Imran Khan Jr. was the star of the present with the ball as he claimed three for 30 in his four-over spell.
Earlier, after opting to bat Lions had been bowled out for 169 runs courtesy of an excellent bowling show from Mohammad Ilyas and Umaid Asif.
Lions misplaced the opening pair of Kamran Akmal (7) and Abdullah Syed (1) early within the innings. Ahsan Ali and Saif Badar introduced the group again into the sport.
Ahsan was the highest scorer for the shedding facet with 51 off 37 balls whereas Badar performed a superb hand of 39 off 29 deliveries.
Later, Asif Ali’s 39 off 20 guided the group to 169 of their allotted 20 overs.
For Stallions, Ilyas and Umaid had been the picks among the many bowlers as they bagged three wickets every for the facet.
Rawala Kot Hawks defeat Mirpur Royals by 43 runs
Earlier, within the first version of the Kashmir Premier League, Rawala Kot Hawks defeat Mirpur Royals by 43 runs in Muzaffarabad on Frida evening.
Batting first, Hawks set a victory goal of scored 195-run goal for the Royals.
In reply, the Mirpur Royals couldn’t chase the goal and scored 152.
