China defers $2.1b debt fee to Pakistan for 2 years

China has accepted the deferment of a mortgage of $2.1 billion to Pakistan for 2 years.

China Exim Financial institution has accepted extending Pakistan’s $2.1 billion mortgage for a time span of two years, in line with the sources from Ministry of Finance.
The respective financial institution issued an official letter to the Pakistani authorities highlighting the extension of the aforementioned mortgage from July 21, 2023, to June 30, 2025, sources added.
