Cooperate with Pakistan to punish Dasu bus attackers, UNSC urges all member states

ISLAMABAD – The United Nations Safety Council (UNSC) has urged all states to cooperate with Pakistan authorities in bringing to justice the perpetrators of terrorist assault on Chinese language and Pakistani nationals in Dasu.

In a press assertion on Saturday, the UN Safety Council strongly condemned the July 14 terrorist assault in Dasu through which 9 Chinese language nationals and three Pakistanis had been killed and a number of other others injured.

The member states of the Safety Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the households of the victims and to the Governments of Pakistan and China, they usually wished a speedy and full restoration to those that had been injured.

They reaffirmed that terrorism in all its types and manifestations constitutes one of the vital severe threats to worldwide peace and safety.

The members underlined the necessity to maintain perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of those reprehensible acts of terrorism accountable and convey them to justice and urged all of the states to cooperate actively with the Governments of Pakistan and China, in addition to all different related authorities on this regard in accordance with their obligations below worldwide legislation and related Safety Council resolutions.

They reiterated that any acts of terrorism are felony and unjustifiable, no matter their motivation, wherever, every time and by whomsoever dedicated.

The Council reaffirmed the necessity for all States to fight by all means, in accordance with the Constitution of the United Nations and different obligations below worldwide legislation, together with worldwide human rights legislation, worldwide refugee legislation and worldwide humanitarian legislation, threats to worldwide peace and safety brought on by terrorist acts.
