A village council within the Nawada District in India’s Bihar State sentenced the alleged rapist of a minor woman to a really distinctive punishment — he was informed to do 5 sit-ups.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Mangla mentioned an FIR had been registered and motion could be taken towards the accused. “On the basis of the viral video, an FIR was registered on the orders of the Nawada SP,” the officer mentioned.

In line with media retailers, the SHO of the native police station acknowledged, “An FIR has been registered in the case and all angles are being looked into as part of the ongoing investigation.”
