GBA to elect speaker, deputy speaker at this time

Sources stated Amjad Zaidi could be the candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the speaker slot, whereas three names together with Ubedullah Baig are into consideration for the deputy speaker slot of the GBA.
Opposition events — the Pakistan Peoples Social gathering (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) — nominated Ghulam Mohammad as their joint candidate for the submit of speaker and Rehmat Khaliq for deputy speaker.
On Wednesday, the newly elected members of Gilgit-Baltistan  Meeting (GBA) took oath within the maiden session.
Based on the main points, Gilgit-Baltistan Meeting Speaker Haji Fida Muhammad Nashad administered the oath to all of the 33 newly elected members.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gained majority in GBLA with 16 common and 6 reserve seats within the province. Pakistan Folks’s Social gathering (PPP) had received 5 seats whereas Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) acquired solely three seats.
Earlier on November 16, Prime Minister Imran Khan had expressed happiness over the victory of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in GB polls and stated that voters had rejected Pakistan Democratic Motion (PDM)’s narrative.
Chairing a gathering of celebration spokespersons and PTI leaders in Islamabad, the prime minister had stated that the individuals of Gilgit-Baltistan had rejected the anti-state narrative of opposition.
