The Authorities of Pakistan Monday jacked up the petrol value by Rs6.72 per litre for the following fortnight.

“In the wake of fluctuations in petroleum prices in the international market and exchange rate variations, the government has decided to revise the existing prices or petroleum products to pass on the impact to the consumers,” the assertion launched by the Finance Division learn.
Whereas the federal government raised the value of petrol, it slashed the value of diesel by Rs0.51.
Consistent with the brand new adjustments, the value of petrol can be Rs233.91 per litre, diesel can be Rs244.44 per litre, and kerosene oil can be offered for Rs199.40 per litre, and the value of sunshine diesel oil can be Rs191.75 per litre.
The brand new costs will come into impact from August 16, 2022.
A day earlier, Federal Minister for Finance and Income Miftah Ismail stated that owing to the situations set forth for the nation by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Authorities of Pakistan just isn’t ready to afford any petroleum subsidies.
