The Ministry of Commerce has determined to import onions and tomatoes from Afghanistan and Iran to regulate hovering costs within the nation.

“Import of tomatoes and onions will help in availability and stabilization of prices of these vegetables in the country,” the assembly instructed.
“The Ministry of Commerce will work with the national food security ministry and the FBR,” it was determined within the assembly.
The session additionally determined to get reduction in levies and duties on import of tomatoes and onions from the Financial Coordination Committee of the federal cupboard.
Commerce Minister Naveed Qamar earlier urged for fast steps for availability of tomatoes and onions to shoppers and stabilization of the hovering costs of those commodities.
