ISLAMABAD – The Central Energy Buying Company (CPPA) has sought a rise of Rs2.65 per unit within the energy tariff within the wake of gasoline value adjustment. 

CPPA has despatched an software to the Nationwide Electrical Energy Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).

In September, 36.2% of electrical energy was produced from hydropower, 17.05% from coal, 8.9% from fuel and 18.9% from imported LNG, it mentioned in its software.

It added that the price of electrical energy generated from the furnace oil was Rs 19.23 per unit within the month.
