Pakistani diplomat survives assassination bid in Kabul, guard wounded

ISLAMABAD – A safety guard was injured when an assassination try was made on a Pakistani diplomat in a gun assault in Afghanistan’s capital metropolis of Kabul on Friday.

 Pakistan’s Head of Mission Ubaidur Rehman Nizami was strolling contained in the embassy, which was closed resulting from vacation, when he was focused.

His safety guard managed to discovered the bid and suffered with bullet wounds. He has been shifted to a hospital for therapy.

Experiences stated that the Pakistani authorities has determined to name again its mission’s head and different workers from Kabul.

In the meantime, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the assassination try on the Pakistani mission’s head in Kabul.

Taking to Twitter, the premier wrote: “I strongly condemn dastardly assassination try on Pakistan’s Head of Mission, Kabul.

“Salute to brave security guard, who took bullet to save his life. Prayers for the swift recovery of security guard. I demand immediate investigation & action against perpetrators of this heinous act,” he wrote.
