ISLAMABAD – Amid skyrocketing petroleum gasoline charges, the costs of petrol and diesel are prone to go up by over Rs5 per litre from January 16.

Experiences in native media stated the costs of key petroleum merchandise are estimated to leap by as much as Rs5 per litre for the following fortnight in mild of the current surge in worldwide oil costs.

The Petroleum Division has obtained a abstract for an upward revision of costs of petroleum merchandise. Experiences added that the high-speed diesel (HSD) can be anticipated to soar by Rs5.65 per litre whereas a rise of Rs4/litre has been proposed for light-speed diesel (LSD).

The proposed hike in costs of petroleum merchandise has been linked with rising oil charges within the worldwide market. 

The Ministry of Finance will announce the brand new costs of petroleum merchandise later as we speak after the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Earlier on New 12 months’s Eve, the PTI authorities elevated the costs of petrol, diesel and different merchandise by as much as Rs4.15 per litre.
