President Dr Arif Alvi on Tuesday authorised the reconstitution of the Nationwide Financial Council (NEC) beneath Article 156 of the Structure.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would be the chairman of NEC whereas the chief ministers of all provinces would be the members.
From the federal aspect, the members embrace Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar and Communication Minister Asad Mehmood.
The names of Awais Leghari (Punjab), Senator Nisar Khuhro (Sindh), Taimur Khan Jhagra (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) and Noor Muhammad Dummar (Balochistan) have been authorised for NEC.
The deputy chairman planning fee, secretary finance, secretary of financial affairs and secretary of planning division will attend the conferences on particular invitation.
