UN Pakistani troops recapture former insurgent metropolis in CAR

BANGASSOU – UN peacekeeping troops, together with from Pakistan, stated they’ve taken over the town within the Central African Republic (CAR).

Armed teams waged a conflict in opposition to President Faustin Archange Touadera and captured the town on January 3.

After the operation, rebels deserted their positions in Bangassou, 750km east of the capital, Bangui, and fled the town.

The mission’s spokesman Vladimir Monteiro stated Saturday that the town is beneath the entire management of MINUSCA.
