ISLAMABAD-In a serious growth for harnessing scarce water assets in southern Punjab, the Water and Energy Improvement Authority (WAPDA) awarded the consultancy contract price Rs. 156.226 million to a three way partnership headed by NESPAK for feasibility research, detailed engineering design, preparation of tender paperwork and PC-I of Murunj Dam Venture.
WAPDA Common Supervisor (Hydro Planning) Muhammad Amin and NESPAK Common Manger (Water and Agriculture) Javed Munir signed the settlement on behalf of WAPDA and the three way partnership respectively in a ceremony held at WAPDA Home, mentioned a press launch issued on Friday.
Murunj Dam Venture can be constructed throughout Kaha Nullah about 15 kilometer (Km) from Mari village and 116 Km west of Rajanpur, Punjab.
